my birdy and her grammy

grammy stopped by for a visit yesterday and bird took the opportunity to play busy zoo and have a tea party with her.  they both loved every minute of it.

good times. :)

i'm not ashamed to admit it - we love ourselves some american idol.  we watched this last week and have found ourselves singing it to bird several times a day.  she thinks its the funniest thing she's ever heard.  love it.

for whatever reason i've been feeling rather frumpy lately.  i'm thinking this frumptastic mood could be solved with a $2.99 box of dye and a new haircut complete with some bangs.  so i told kevin i was going to go and get this haircut:

7 months of bird

my lil' babe is almost 8 months old. i can't believe how time has flown by. it seems as though she gets a little bigger and learns something new everyday right in front of our eyes. it's amazing!

buh bye 2009...

2009 was absolutely hands down our very best year so far. it was amazing. we've never been closer and we have our beautiful little babe. we are so grateful. :) and just blessed beyond measure.

and so, for my very first blog entry at norabird.com i figured a tribute to my 2009 was in order. enjoy.

january

she's a she! i was certain she was a he. nope. 50/50 and i blew it! :)

february

moose was my shadow through my pregnancy. i love this picture - it's as though he was telling nora a secret through my belly.

this is the month we got the crib together and the room finished. all that was missing was our little bird!

april

this one always makes me laugh. this is me and my super cute neice kenedy. she and i compared bellies throughout my entire pregnancy. someday she's going to hate me for this picture. but for now - she and i both love it. :)

she's here! may 19th, 2009 - the very best day of my life. (well, ok - let's be honest - the best afternoon of my life the worst morning - haha). i've never ever felt more accomplished or happy than i did when nora was born. having her is better than every good thing i've ever done combined. i was 100% automatically in love with her. my heart was, and is, outside my body.

nora had jaundice pretty bad in the beginning - this is her catching some rays to combat the biliruben.

july

i'm pretty sure nora didn't even see one firework. we celebrated on kev's family ranch and missed the big fireworks because we were driving home. she slept the whole way.

augustnora's first run was in august. we did the annual kids run with her cousins jordan and kenedy. it was a lot of fun. she slept through the whole run and someone yelled, "good show #355! whooo hoo!" cute.

september

this month is when the giggle fits began. it's so cute. she really gets into it. even her little feet curl up and get silly.

mmkay seriously - isn't she the cutest bumblebee you've ever seen? yes. she is. :) halloween was so much fun. i can't wait for next year! :)

i made some green beans for nora and it was a huge FAIL. she hated them. but it sure made for some good pictures. :)

decemberchristmas. gotta love it. she was spoiled rotten. absolutely rotten. look at this shocked look. "all this is for me?!" yes my birdie. all this is for you sweet girl. so much fun. she had so many presents to open it wasn't even funny. we are so grateful and blessed!

this post has brought back so many memories. so as we bid farewell to 2009 we do so with humble grateful hearts. we are so very thankful for everything that happened this year. we are oh so looking forward to 2010.
